Join us at the Odessa High School Performing Arts Center on Sunday May 18 at 4pm for an afternoon of classic Jazz love songs! From Round Midnight to I Wish You Love to You’d Be So Nice to Come Home To and more, it will be an afternoon filled with sultry tunes that will tickle your ears and stir your heart.
Tickets are $15 for adults; $10 for youth/students (18 and under and/or enrolled in high school or college); children under 5 attend for free. Online ticket sales are now closed but you can purchase tickets at the door.
The Performing Arts Center is accessible and there is ample parking at the high school. Click here to see an aerial image showing where the Performing Arts Center entrance is. Take the first right at the traffic circle inside the school complex and follow the road as it curves counter-clockwise.
Joining MCC and Rehearsal Information
MCC welcomes adult and high school singers (grades 9-12) at all levels of ability and experience! We are a friendly, no stress, group of SATB singers.
We rehearse at Odessa HS (570 Tony Marchio Dr, Townsend DE 19734). We are a no-audition chorus – if you are interested in singing with us, please fill out the Contact Form below and come to rehearsal! Rehearsals are Thursday evenings at 7pm in the music room at Odessa HS. Click here to see a photo of where to enter the high school – the music room is immediately on your left. There is plenty of parking available near the door.
Rehearsals for our spring semester start Thursday 2/6/25. New Members should plan to come at 6:30pm. If you can’t make the first few rehearsals but still want to join, please use the Contact Form to let us know.
Dues for the 2024/2025 season are $50/adult per semester; $20/student (high school or college) per semester. There are two semesters in the season. We don’t want people to be unable to sing for financial reasons, so if the dues present a hardship, please speak to our Treasurer, Dana, about scholarship support and payment plans. You can pay for your dues on the Members Dues page, or at rehearsal (cash, check made out to Middletown Community Chorus, or card).
Music will be provided (you will not have to pay for it). There will be an option to purchase for those who like to own the scores.
Schedule Winter/Spring 2025
- Thursday Feb 6 – first rehearsal! 7-8:30pm. Come early to pick up your music and if you are a new member to fill out forms
- Thursday March 27 – Special Meeting to vote on new By-Laws
- Thursday April 17 (Maundy Thursday) – No Rehearsal
- Thursday May 8 – Annual Meeting and Board Elections, 8:45pm (at end of rehearsal)
- Sunday May 18 4pm, Spring Concert, Odessa HS
